World Wings is not just a social organization, but we also raise money for charity. Each chapter adopts their own local charity and by whatever way they see fit and raise as much as they can for that charity 10% of the annual moneys they raise is sent to our International funds and that all goes towards the International charity which at the moment is Care In 1994 World Wings International was chosen as our new international charity. CARE purpose it to help the developing world's poor in their efforts to achieve social and economical well-being. After first supporting CARE's Population and Family Planning Program, World Wings members voted at the 1997 Los Angeles Cruise Convention to support 'The Women's initiative' program. CARE headquarters were moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1993. CARE, considered one of the best run charitable organizations in the United States, spends 93.5% of the charitable contributions raised on the programs for which CARE was estabalished.   As Pan Am flight attendants, we traveled the globe, helped in war and disaster, and saw first-hand the flight of those living in some of the poorest nations in the world.
